This band was formed in Boston in 1971. They are known for the album recorded in 1976 called with their same name "The Modern Lovers", after that there are no other studio works; the frontman Jonathan Richman started a solo career, while the guitarist Jarry Harrison contributed on forming "The Talking heads", and the drummer David Robinson played with "The Cars".
