"One of the less unknown essential rock LP"
In this way the highly respect French magazine "Tsugi" reviewed the only release by the Italian band Frigidaire Tango, from Bassano del Grappa - North Italy.
In fact "The Cock" was an absolute obscure masterpiece, with lots of reference to the English music scene (Roxy Music) and probably too ahead for the Italian mass market public tastes...that's why also Italian labels didn't invest too much on their distribution.
We want to point you out the song called "I Am Faster", a great synth-driven track, perfect for a new wave-dance oriented set.
But all the songs are great, don't miss anyone!
Not only market issues was the reason they disbanded in 1986, but also different views on the future of the band: some member wished to dedicate his life for the music, some other preferred to keep it in an extra time passion...as you can see in the rare RAI television footage you can find here attached (only Italian language).
Unfortunately, "The Cock" was the only LP they released in the 80s.
But some member kept on making music, forming "The Vindicators" a more rock 'n roll oriented act, as you can hear in the great song called "Go On" we uploaded for you, ripped from the rare LP "Vicenza Progetto Musica", a compilation that presented some bands from the musical scene of Vicenza, the main city near Bassano del Grappa.
After listening to some of their stuff we're sure you'd realize their story was another lost occasion for the underground Italian music scene, full of great bands and great undiscovered gem.
