Alston Cyrus is a Caribbean singer and songwriter known as "ABC of Calypso/Soca".
He started his career in 1975 under the pseudonym of Beckett.
In 1977 he began a long term collaboration with the legendary keyboardist and arranger Frankie McIntosh. The first album realized by this joint-venture was Disco Calypso, a reggae and disco funk LP with inside the breakthrough hit Coming High and the killer Calypso Disco, that appeared in the soundtrack of the movie The Deep and restructured recently by Glenn Rivera.
Really bizarre is the track entitled Legalize The Grass.
